The Glendale Church needs help finding stolen equipment

A Valley church is praying for help after its equipment was stolen.

The theft happened nearby on October 26 75th Avenue and Union Hills Driveand it was caught on camera.

The Table Church operates out of Arrowhead Elementary School and lead pastor Cody Deevers says the stolen equipment is worth more than $45,000.

Surveillance images show that the theft took place between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM

Video shows an SUV pulling into the parking lot and then driving away as someone else drives away in the church truck a few minutes later.

Deevers says he believes the thieves came by earlier this week, on October 22, to check security around the equipment.

Not only were the truck and trailer taken, but most of the church furniture they had set up at Arrowhead Elementary was also in the stolen trailer.

“All of our chairs, all of our shelving, all of the furniture that goes into our lobby, that we make for the check-in tables and all that stuff,” the pastor said.

Deevers says the church has been able to adapt despite the great loss. While the church is moving forward with a positive attitude, it wants its equipment back as quickly as possible.

“It didn’t stop us that day. I mean, the church has been through a lot worse and this wasn’t going to stop us, so we just turned around,” Deevers said.

His faith, he says, helps him find peace as the investigation into the thieves continues.

“The message is still ‘Jesus saves.’ Jesus can even save these thieves. I pray he does. Jesus forgives us, but bring back our stuff if you have it,” Deevers said.
