Who is the girl in the blue dress? Sydney pop star Charley steals the show at the 2024 Aria Awards in a barely-there dress of her own making

Pop singer Charley stole the show at the 2024 Aria Awards on Wednesday.

The Sydney-based chanteuse walked the red carpet at the prestigious Australian music awards in an ensemble inspired by the character Kida from the 2001 Disney film Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

Charley worked her best in a blue, flesh-colored Greek-style dress that she made herself.

The skimpy dress had a revealing top half, made from very little fabric, which showed off her cleavage and abs.

The rest of the dress hugged her slender body in a Z-shaped pattern, with some of the fabric gathering at the hips to reveal her pins.

The Aria-nominated artist complimented her dress with a pair of chrome Steampunk-inspired heels.

The shoes glittered brightly as Charley posed and featured statement buckles and straps.

The singer also turned heads at the event with her indigo hair color.

The Hard For Me singer explained on her Instagram last week how she put her dress together.

In a video shared with her 77,000 followers, the multi-talented artist showed off her seamstress skills.

‘I decided to fly very close to the sun and make a dress based on Kida for a music awards ceremony in Australia.’

Charley told her fans how she liked the dress and showed it off on the mannequin that almost looked like the finished product she wore on Wednesday.

She then continued with what she was doing before: gathering materials for her dress.

‘I knew I needed a bra, so I cut this lace up so it could be visible underneath. I got this blue fabric and started putting it over everything and pinning it everywhere. I didn’t really know what I was doing, but we got there.”

She then revealed that she asked her professional seamstress friend to help her finish the dress.

The two friends worked together and Charley exclaimed that it “all came together.”

She then took the work-in-progress dress back to her house after “poking it all out” before sewing it all together.

“I had to sew and sew and sew, all by hand,” she said.

Charley’s fans responded to the comments on the post and were clearly in awe of her hidden talent.

‘I like that you make your outfits! So talented,” one fan wrote, while another said: “Talented little angel!”

“Okay, let’s see my talented girl,” someone else said.

‘I love that you make this yourself. So many yas,” another person commented.

Meanwhile, another fan said: ‘It’s so nice to see people still making their own clothes! Doubly talented!’
