At least one dead in Owatonna crash involving two children – ABC 6 News

(ABC 6 News) – At least one person is dead after a crash that occurred Wednesday morning in Owatonna, according to a Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) crash report.

The crash happened around 7:30 am. According to the report, a 25-year-old Owatonna man was driving north on I-35 in a 1999 Ford Ranger when the truck lost control, went off the road and rolled into the right ditch. .

There was snow and ice on the road at the time of the crash, MSP noted.

There were two children in the truck with the man. MSP has identified them only as a four-year-old girl and a boy under one year old.

It is not known at this time how many occupants of the truck were killed, or who was killed.

MSP, Steele County Sheriff’s Office, Owatonna Police Department, Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service and Owatonna Fire Department all responded to this accident.
