More Bellator stars are lamenting the lack of fights and communication offered by the PFL

Patricio Pitbull, Leandro Higo and Patchy Mix have replied in a series of tweets adding their voices to the crowd of disgruntled fighters from the organization formerly known as Bellator, now an affiliate of the Professional Fighter’s League, referred to as Bellator Champions- series.

BCS was advertised as hosting eight events in 2024, with two title fights guaranteed per card. However, recent news that yet another card – an upcoming Paris card that was supposed to be headlined by Mix and Higo – had been canceled brought the total to five cards for the year. Only one spotted then one title fight.

Bellator champion and one of the best BWs in the world, Patchy Mix, was one of the first to react to the news. He also added that he was removed from a January card without explanation.

Mix’s planned opponent, Leandro Higo, tweeted to similarly complain about the time and expense the fighters incur for an event that ultimately never took place.

To make matters worse for PFL and fans who want to see fights, Bellator GOAT added Patricio Pitbull’s quote tweet that he was promised three fights this year and only received one. He was scheduled to fight on one of Bellator’s traditional New Year’s Eve cards, but received no notice from PFL when things went sideways. Instead, he discovered online that his opponent had a new matchup. Then the event was canceled completely after he started preparing for a new opponent.

This poor treatment of fighters goes against the Professional Fighter’s League’s self-proclaimed mission of being a fighter-first organization. These three fighters add their names to a list that includes current/former champions Cris Cyborg and Gegard Mousasi, the latter of whom Sue PFL as well as Bellator for breach of contract.
