The fatal fire in Amity is under investigation
AMITY, Maine (WABI) – Human remains have been found after a fire severely damaged a home in Amity, officials said Sunday.
A fire broke out at a home on Emily Drive on Saturday.
Investigators from the Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office responded around 2:30 p.m
We’re told human remains were found among the fire debris.
The remains will be transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta for positive identification.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
