The community of Mbombela is reeling after a horrific accident in Riverside.

Two people were killed when a car crashed into a truck, but the accident raised questions about who was to blame.

The accident took place at the intersection of R40 and R37.

Videos of the horrific crash quickly trended on social media and showed a Mercedes Benz traveling from the direction of the Mbombela CBD.

The speeding vehicle then crashes into a truck and turns towards a robot onto the R37. You can hear the car braking desperately in time to avoid crashing into the truck’s second trailer, but it was too late.
