Grandmother killed, grandfather seriously injured in ATV crash in Grayson County

GRAYSON COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – One woman was killed and two people were flown to a hospital after an ATV accident Sunday in Grayson County, according to the Grayson County Department of Emergency Services.

Respondents say crews received reports of a rollover on Mourning Dove Lane in the Elk Creek area shortly before 1 p.m.

According to emergency responders, a woman was pronounced dead at the scene and a man and a four-year-old girl were flown to a hospital with serious injuries.

Emergency responders say two other children were at the scene but were not taken to the hospital.

According to emergency workers, the woman is reportedly the children’s grandmother and the injured man is their grandfather.

The cause of the crash has not been determined.
