New information about suspect of sexual assault on the British campus

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – We’re learning more about the suspect in a sexual assault case on the University of Kentucky campus.

According to the British police Louisville Airport Police arrested 21-year-old Saif Al-Khafaji on a Fayette County warrant Saturday evening.

British police say Al-Khafaji attacked someone on November 10. The victim was walking near the intersection of Rose and Euclid. Investigators say they used campus security cameras to identify Al-Khafaji as a suspect.

Al-Khafaji was also cited for harassing and stalking more than three dozen women on the Eastern Kentucky University campus last year, according to court documents.

In that case he was not arrested.

He now faces charges of first-degree sexual abuse and second-degree indecent exposure.
