Two men face charges after fentanyl and meth were arrested during a traffic stop

SAN ANTONIO – Two men have been arrested after a traffic stop led to a seizure of deadly fentanyl pills.

According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, a man driving a white Dodge Charger was pulled over on Nov. 21. The driver initially identified himself as Deveion Spears, but after further questioning he later identified himself as Antwon Samples. A check revealed that there was an active arrest warrant for Mr. Samples for possession of marijuana. He was arrested.

A search of the vehicle revealed a firearm concealed in the passenger seat. As a result, Samples faces additional charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and the outstanding warrant.

Investigators obtained and executed a search warrant at a residence on the same block. During the search, officers found 40 grams of methamphetamine, 55.8 grams of deadly fentanyl pills, a digital scale, narcotic wrappers and a drum magazine containing 50 rounds.

Tomanique Grant was taken into custody at the residence and transported to the Bexar County Jail. He is charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) from 4 to 200 grams, and manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance (fentanyl pills) from 4 to 200 grams.
