KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Federal investigators have identified the man who died Monday morning in a police shooting.
The FBI stated that agents from the Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force served a search warrant in the 3000 block of NW 73rd Street.
An FBI statement said police announced their arrival and knocked, but received no response. Officers then entered the home and “encountered an armed individual, who was injured and pronounced dead at the scene.”
The FBI identified the armed individual as Ethan Michael Gosch, a 34-year-old man.
The FBI said officers were involved in a shooting, but the agency did not provide details on whether the shooting killed the person inside the home.
