Surfer Joel Cooper lists Laguna Beach Estate for $23 million

The CEO of Irvine-based Lost International and co-founder of Gotcha surfwear put the 6,400-square-foot home up for sale at 125 Irvine Cove Court, in gated Irvine Cove, The Orange County Register reports this.

The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home has been for sale or rent for a decade, including asking for just $9 million in 2016, according to Zillow.

Brokers Josh and Matt Altman of The Altman Brothers at Douglas Elliman are holding the entry.

Built in 2002 on half an acre, the tiered home sits on a hill north of the Pacific Coast Highway, with sweeping ocean views.

The custom home is infused with materials that Cooper and his designer source from Bali, creating “an exotic and organic atmosphere,” according to the listing.

“When you step into the house, you immediately feel like you’re in another part of the world,” Cooper said Houzz TV in 2017.

The two-story main building has sliding glass walls that open onto patios and verandas. A guest house with one bedroom, one bathroom and a living area can double as a fitness room.

A path from the front gate leads through a Balinese teak structure and over a bridge over a koi and turtle pond.

Natural light filters in through Italian-imported glass doors and windows, according to the registry.

Ocean views and tropical gardens sparkle throughout the home, including the kitchen, dining room, sunken living room, family room and second-floor office that doubles as a master bedroom.

A raised outdoor bridge separates the office from the other bedrooms on the upper floor. The master bedroom has a zen-inspired bathroom with an oversized soaking tub.

Outside, there are outdoor terraces with an infinity pool, an elevated spa and cabana with a kitchen, bar and fireplace, and a children’s clubhouse on stilts.

The accommodation includes access to Irvine Cove’s pickle ball and tennis courts, plus a golf cart and access to a private beach.
