JNU Admissions 2024-25: Registration Begins for PhD Programs, View Details

As per the schedule, the last date to register for the PhD courses is December 2, 2024. Candidates are allowed to make corrections in the application forms from December 3 to 4, 2024.

The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has started accepting applications for the PhD courses for the academic year 2024-2025. Candidates should note that admission is through NET, (UGC-CSIR), JRF and GATE. Interested candidates can apply for the various PhD programs through the official website at jnuee.jnu.ac.in. As per the schedule, the last date to register for the PhD courses is December 2, 2024. Candidates are allowed to make corrections in the application forms from December 3 to 4, 2024.

Through an official notification, the university encouraged candidates to read the e-prospectus for PhD programs, which can be accessed on the university’s website, and check their eligibility, seat availability and other facts before submitting the online application. Moreover, candidates have to independently apply for admission through NET (UGC-CSIR), JRF or GATE (for School of Engineering only).

JNU PhD Courses 2024-25: Complete Schedule

– Online submission of the application form for admission: November 23 to December 2, 2024.

– Correction of data from online application form only on website: December 3 and 4, 2024

– Invitation to viva voce to the candidate: December 12, 2024 (provisional)

– Holding a viva-voce exam: December 16 to 21, 2024 (provisional)

– Publication of first merit lists for admission to Ph.D. programs: December 30, 2024 (provisional)

– Pre-registration and payment of contribution in case of blocking of seats on the First List: – December 30, 2024 to January 1, 2025 (provisional).

– Publication of second merit lists for admission to Ph.D. programs: January 8, 2025 (provisional)

– Pre-registration and payment of the fee for blocking seats on the Second List: January 8 to 10, 2025 (provisional)

– Physical verification of admission/registration of selected candidates: January 13 to 16, 2025

– Release of the third/final list after registration, where deemed necessary: January 24, 2025 (provisional)

– Registration before registration and payment of fees with blocking of places on the third/last list: January 24 to 26, 2025 (provisional)

– Physical verification of admission/registration for the third/final list of selected candidates: January 28 and 28, 2025.

– Admission/registration deadline: February 5, 2025.

The candidate’s viva voce invitation will be tentatively sent on December 12, 2024, and the viva voce test will most likely be held between December 16 and 21, 2024. The first merit list is expected to be published on December 30, 2024.
