Thunder Bay police arrest robbery suspect, seize concealed replica gun

Thunder Bay, ON – A 41-year-old Thunder Bay man is facing multiple charges after he was found in possession of a concealed replica handgun during his arrest for theft.

The Thunder Bay Police Service’s Break and Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit was conducting surveillance on the 1300 block of Arthur Street East on Wednesday evening, November 27, when officers observed a theft taking place.

The suspect was quickly arrested and during a subsequent search, officers discovered the hidden imitation firearm.

Robert Jordan CAUL, 41, of Thunder Bay, has been charged with:

  • Theft under $5,000
  • Carrying a concealed weapon
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

CAUL appeared in court on Thursday and remains in custody pending a future court hearing.
