Murder investigation after woman died in ‘ramming’ on e-bike in Derbyshire

A murder investigation has been launched after a woman died in a crash in a Derbyshire village.

Police said they were called to Batley Lane in Pleasley at 8pm GMT on Tuesday where a dark-coloured 4×4 had been following two e-bikes before “ramming” one of the bikes, causing the rider and passenger to fall off. drive away.

A 25-year-old woman who was a passenger on the e-bike died at the scene while the rider, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers said a man and a woman, both in their 30s and from the Skegby area of ​​Nottinghamshire, had been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody.
