Iowa is casting a wide net by recruiting receivers in the 2025 class. This could also favor pass catchers with Collier as a last name.

After offering Braylon Collier a scholarship to Ohio on Thursday, the Hawkeyes offered Florida wide receiver Chase Collier on Monday. He received the good news from Hawkeye position coach Jon Budmayr.

“Coach Jon called me and basically told me I was a great fit for their program and the way they run things. Then he offered me,” Chase Collier told HN.

Braylon Collier has scheduled his official visit to Iowa for June 21-23. A large number of commits and priority targets planned to join him during what is the biggest recruiting weekend of the year for the program.

Chase Collier (6-1, 170) is scheduled to travel to Kansas this weekend. He expects to be at Michigan State June 14-16.

“We are working on the official visit (to Iowa) (date),” he said.

Duke, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Buffalo, Tulane, Western Michigan and others also reportedly offered scholarships. The Hawkeyes may have moved toward the front of that line.

“What I like about Iowa is that it’s a great place. It’s more of a college town, so there wouldn’t be as many distractions. I could stay focused and work on my craft wide receiver,” he said.

Chase Collier is researching his future colleges’ academics. He looks forward to learning more during his official visits.

“In college, I will study business because I always wanted to feel like I owned something and was successful,” he said.

As a junior, Collier caught 32 passes for 571 yards and six touchdowns. He showed off his big-play abilities in his junior highlight video.
