Kylie Jenner’s 2024 Met Gala Dress Is Inspired by English Novelist JG Ballard — See Photos

Kylie Jenner just arrived on the 2024 Met Gala red carpet wearing her most grandiose dress yet.

Kylie Jenner walked the red carpet at the 2024 Met Gala in a custom ivory dress by Oscar de la Renta. Jenner’s dress featured a form-fitting bodice with cone bra details and a trumpet skirt with a puffy train.

According to Voguethe silhouette of Jenner’s dress “was inspired by the garden statues mentioned in JG Ballard’s short story, The garden of time”, as a way of honoring the theme. Check out Kylie Jenner’s 2024 Met Gala look below:

You can tell Jenner was full of excitement for this year’s Met Gala, as she took the opportunity to reminisce about the event on Instagram before the event. “Oh how time flies 🩵❤️,” the star captioned a photo carousel on Friday, May 3, featuring never-before-seen photos of her getting ready for last year’s Met Gala. Of course, the post got people excited and sparked theories about what her next look would be. So all that remains is to reach a consensus: do you think it has kept its promises?

Jenner and her family are frequent guests at the Met Gala. Over the years, Jenner has worn many different looks. Last year, Jenner wore a matching minimalist dress and gown set by Haider Ackermann, who is notably one of Timotheé Chalamet’s favorite designers.

Jenner’s first Met Gala appearance was in 2016, when she wore a matching Balmain dress with her mother, Kris Jenner. This latest look from Kylie Jenner is the latest addition to her strong collection of Met Gala outfits.
