What did Pat Cummins say to Hardik Pandya?

There were no microphones around Pat Cummins and Hardik Pandya, so it’s impossible to know exactly what Pat Cummins must have said. But as one fan suggested, the action gave a pretty clear picture of what could have happened.

As can be seen in the video, Hardik Pandya appeared to ask Pat Cummins why his middle finger is short. When Pat Cummins had to explain that he lost his middle finger as a child when his sister closed the door, Hardik Pandya was shocked.

Pat Cummins and his unusual middle finger

The middle finger is often considered a crucial asset for the fast bowler, but Pat Cummins doesn’t have an inch of a finger. Years ago, Cummins revealed why his middle finger was short in an interview with cricket.com.au.

“I lost the top of my finger when I was about three or four (years old). It was slammed in a door and I lost about an inch of the top of my finger. It doesn’t really affect me because (the finger) is about the same length as the other (index finger),” Pat Cummins told cricket.com.au years ago.

It’s certainly an intriguing story and it’s not hard to see why Hardik Pandya was stunned. Well, all that is in the past, now Pat Cummins will prepare to face Lucknow Super Giants as he looks to guide Sunrisers Hyderabad to the playoffs.
