Fetterman asks Biden admin to stop taking weapons away from Israel: ‘Strongly disagree’

Sen. John Fetterman, Democrat of Pennsylvania, shared his outrage Tuesday after learning that the Biden administration allegedly withheld weapons from Israel.

Officials are delaying aid to send a “political message” to Israel, according to Politico. The United States currently has a pending sale to the Jewish state of bombs and other munitions, but has not yet obtained the necessary approvals.

Building on X, Senator Fetterman demanded an immediate reversal.

“I strongly disagree with this decision and it should be immediately reversed,” he said. said.

The senator went on to note that such restrictions “should apply to Hamas, its enablers and benefactors” rather than the U.S. ally.

Senator Fetterman was an active ally of Israel during its war against Hamas, a position not shared by some of his more progressive colleagues in the Democratic Party. Last week, the senator warned American students about a terrorist group’s offer to continue their studies in the Middle East.

“If an Iranian-funded homicidal terrorist proxy wants to pick up your college bill, you might really, really want to reevaluate things,” he said, via X.

Last month, the senator expressed disbelief after some House Democrats voted against a resolution condemning an Iranian missile attack on Israel.

“I sincerely believed that I would never see members of my party refuse to condemn Iran – one of the world’s leading sponsors of terrorism – after it launched hundreds of drones against our special ally, Israel,” he said at the time. Senator Fetterman. “No words.”
