Floyd Valley Healthcare Announces Sale of Park Place Estates of Le Mars

Le Mars, Iowa (KCAU) — The Le Mars City Council has completed the process of selling Park Place Estates to Accura HealthCare.

The sale was approved Tuesday after Floyd Valley Healthcare (FVH) officials decided to sell Park Place Estates to Accura HealthCare based on how they could better serve the community, according to a joint statement from the two groups.

“During our discernment process to determine the best strategic prospects for Park Place Estates, it became clear that Accura shared the same values ​​as FVH in always placing resident safety first and enhancing an environment in which residents will continue to thrive,” said Donna Schuster, FVH Board President. . “Additionally, Accura’s strategic vision for long-term care in Le Mars is something FVH could not achieve alone.

The release said Accura HealthCare is a leading provider of post-acute and long-term services. The organization operates several skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities and independent residences throughout the Midwest.

“This marks a significant milestone for our organization, and we look forward to welcoming the Park Place Estates community to the Accura HealthCare family,” said Accura HealthCare CEO Ted LeNeave. “Accura HealthCare has enjoyed loving ties to the Le Mars community for many years as we operate the Accura HealthCare Le Mars skilled nursing facility. This acquisition reflects our continued commitment to expanding our reach and providing exceptional care and services to seniors throughout Iowa.

LeNeave added that Accura intends to ensure a smooth transition for residents and staff currently working at Park Place Estates.

The release said the transition is planned for June 1 with a complete rebranding. Park Place Estates will also be renamed Stonebridge Suites of Le Mars.
