SUPERIOR, Wisc. — A dog’s love of catching a Frisbee inspired a Disc Dog Seminar, which will take place this weekend in Superior.

Lupine is a 5 year old border collie. His owner, Eve Graves, said Lupine loved playing catch ever since they met. Lupin’s boundless energy inspired Graves to seek out more structured opportunities for Lupine to hone his skills. She found none in the Twin Ports area. So she created one.

“She’s been obsessed with Frisbees since she was a puppy,” Graves said. “It’s what she likes best and she won’t stop.” So, I want to see what she can do when she actually does something more than just catching.

This Saturday and Sunday, Disc Dog classes will be offered on the UW Superior football field, taught by members of the Minnesota Disc Dog Club. The weekend will include beginner and advanced classes, so dogs of all levels of interest in Frisbees can participate. A few spots are still available, interested dog owners should email Graves ([email protected]) as soon as possible.
