Police search for Victoria locker room voyeurism suspect

A man allegedly tried to take photos or film a woman in the changing room of a downtown Victoria store.

Victoria Police are trying to identify a person suspected of taking photos or videos of a woman in a downtown changing room.

Shortly after 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, police responded to a report of suspected voyeurism in the dressing room of a retail store in the 1100 block of Douglas Street.

The suspect fled the scene after being confronted by a member of store staff. They described him as having thick black hair and a plaid jacket with a red and yellow logo on the back.

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to call the reporting desk at 250-995-7654. Anonymous tips can be reported to Greater Victoria Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or online at victoriacrimestoppers.ca.
