Cotter announces re-election campaign | To the west

Megan Cotter, incumbent Representative of Rhode Island’s 39th District, has announced her candidacy for re-election. Cotter said she plans to continue advocating for a better quality of life for the citizens of Exeter, Hopkinton and Richmond.

During her first term in the State House, Cotter said she united Republicans and Democrats to advocate for the bill to add green bonds, allocating funds to areas such as farms, forest management and open spaces. His other accomplishments during the first term include working with RIPTA to fully fund a van for Wood River Health and securing more legislative grants for the district than any other representative in the past decade.

Beyond legislative accomplishments, Cotter said she has engaged with constituents through various outreach efforts, including hosting discussions and coffee hours to foster connections. Its annual “Show Some Love” event supports community service organizations such as RICAN and the Exeter Department of Social Services.
