‘Unfair!’  – Arsenal icon hits 115 charges against Man City after Premier League title success

Manchester City won a fourth successive Premier League title after beating West Ham 3-1 at the Etihad on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola’s side have now won six of the last seven top-flight league titles after finishing two points clear of second-placed Arsenal on the final day. Guardiola’s side could also complete a domestic double next weekend against Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley.




The club faces 115 charges over alleged financial fair play violations which have yet to be resolved. City strongly deny all accusations and a hearing into their case is expected to take place in “the near future”, according to Premier League chief executive Richard Masters.

And host Gary Lineker asked Match of the Day pundits on Sunday if City’s accusations took anything away from the players’ success. Alan Shearer replied: “Not for these players, no. It’s not their fault. They just need to go out and play on the football field.

“The club will have to answer for these accusations, but these players have been superb and nothing can be taken away from what they have achieved.”

Ian Wright added: “I think it’s unfair, the uncertainty around it. It’s unfair to the legacy that these players are building.
