Duo of shoplifters arrested at McKay's; suspect arrested on parole warrant

At 1:02 p.m. on May 18, 2024, a theft involving two suspects with a large bag was reported at McKay’s in Lakeside. Deputy MR Smith responded to the scene to investigate.

Upon arrival, Deputy Smith found the suspects inside the store. Security confronted them as they tried to leave. The suspects, identified as Joseph Perry, 40, and Celeste Pike, 45, were found with the stolen items in their possession, which were quickly returned to McKay’s.
