Paige Bueckers loved the Nika Mühl visa-inspired t-shirt the Storm rookie goalie wore before an 85-83 win over Caitlin Clark and the Fever on Wednesday.

Mühl — a Croatian-born guard who was teammates of Bueckers at UConn — made her WNBA debut at Climate Pledge Arena after being unable to play in Seattle’s first four games while awaiting approval of her work visa .

“This is the one,” Bueckers, who has committed to her senior year at UConn for the 2024-25 season, wrote on X, including photos of Mühl.

Mühl, 23, wore a white T-shirt with a black-and-white image of his visa with a stamp on it that read: “Approved.”

The photo featured an image of Mühl posing with his right hand raised in a peace sign.

She accessorized with black tinted sunglasses and carried a large black tote.

“I ate and left no crumbs,” the league wrote, adding in another post: “I look good, I feel better.” »

Mühl received a standing ovation from a record Seattle crowd of 18,343 when she took the floor for the first time as the Storm led the Fever in the third quarter, 54-51.

Former University of Washington legend and ex-NBAer Isaiah Thomas, who played for the Suns last season, sat front and center at Climate Pledge Arena.
