The Gen Z woman who was shocked by a ‘bad’ text from her millennial date has now given us the point we’ve all been looking for, after sharing the ‘cop-out’ response she’s since received.

Elizabeth Castaldi, 27, recently took to TikTok to document the aftermath of a date she had with a 35-year-old man.

After enjoying spending time with him, she received a text saying, “Hey, I had fun last night.” Have a nice day.”

Elizabeth – whose handle is @yogiinpinkk – then asked her followers: “Is he a bad texter or is he 35?”

While some people were confused about the nature of the problem, she explained in a comment: “Let’s be clear, I’m not sick.

“I just can’t read it and I really, really want to go on a second date.”

She eventually replied to the post to say she had a great time too, adding: “I hope your day is going well.”

Elizabeth then shared the third part of the saga after she decided to take her photo and message the guy again.

She wrote casually: “Hello! I’m free on Wednesday and I’d like to see you again.

However, his response was not as promising. “Next week might be a little crazy with work because I have some contracts lined up,” he replied.

“Basically, I’m not sure I’ll be able to make it to RI. So maybe we’re playing it by ear a little bit.

Elizabeth said she would “leave” things in her yard, as he pointed out that not having access to a car made things “difficult.”

As she urged the guy to let her know “what works” for him, things ended with a response: “Sounds good!” »

Many people said Elizabeth was “way too nice” about it and that her response had been a “cop”, with one writing: “Playing by ear is crazy. »

Another commented with a red flag emoji, while someone else said: “Because work is never too crazy to hang out.” »

Another added: “Yeah he’s just not interested in you, he’d much rather be honest.” Too many excuses. If he wants it, he will do it. Period.”

Elizabeth told the Daily Mail that dating was going “well” – although she had a few “bad dates”.

“I tend to be a little old-fashioned when it comes to dating, so it’s definitely a quest to find a partner who is respectful, gentle, caring and traditional,” she explained.
