Man Offering Free Couch Receives 'Very Normal Message' and Realizes He's Not the Only One

It seems like this strange question has been asked for years

When you buy something second-hand, you need to do some obvious checks first.

Is it broken? How is it used? Is it clean? And there may be other, stranger things we wonder about, but we don’t always ask.

Except when this person was looking for a new couch, they didn’t hold back.

Those who don’t care too much about trying to drain people of their money and just want to get rid of their stuff will post it for free on Facebook Marketplace.

Like this American who wrote on X: “I’m trying to get rid of a sofa today and I received this completely normal message. »

The guy then shared a screenshot of someone wanting to take away his furniture.

“Hi Max, is this still available?” So, pretty normal question so far.

But then they continue: “Drinks or cum stains lol? I have to ask myself that question these days. I mean, bold and a little goofy, but I guess no one wants to lounge on a couch that someone left their cum on.

However, the potential buyer curiously added: “I hope it’s a good story if it is!”

“Otherwise it looks like a sturdy, comfortable sofa.”

And users pointed out: “The way this reads, this individual might *hope* for j*zz stains.” »

However, while the sofa seller may have been shocked to receive this message, it seems he really isn’t the only one.

Another responded saying their “buddy received the exact same message in August 2023” and also from Chicago, like the original poster. And yet another user said: “I was selling a rug a few months ago in Chicago and got the same message. I think this guy is looking for j*zz stained furniture.

The original poster revealed that he “immediately blocked” the person sending the copy-pasted messages, saying, “The Chicago fetish community apparently doesn’t sleep.” »

As one even said: “It’s really crazy that 10 years ago I gave a sofa as a gift and also received a message like this. What the fuck is this guy?

Although one of them said, “Let’s be honest, it’s a legitimate question.”

Another noted, “‘This day and age’ is what gets me,” as others wrote, “What day and age does he think we are in?” Really curious.

And one user joked: “Tell him you can put the stains in there if requested but it costs extra.” »
