Jury deliberations to begin in secret Trump trial

Judge Juan Merchan continues to outline the specific charges the jury will consider against Donald Trump.

Remember: Trump is charged by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office with 34 state criminal counts of falsifying business records, specifically relating to 11 invoices, 12 vouchers and 11 checks.

The accusations all revolve around these checks, invoices and vouchers that recorded payments made to Michael Cohen, then Trump’s lawyer and arranger. Prosecutors say the payments were not a retainer for legal services, as they were recorded, but reimbursements for paying adult entertainer Stormy Daniels in exchange for her silence and lifetime rights to her story before the election presidential election of 2016.
