Geri Halliwell has been blamed for an embarrassing mistake in her birthday message to Spice Girls bandmate Mel B.

Stop immediately.

Fans dragged Geri Halliwell on Instagram for an awkward birthday tribute to her Spice Girls bandmate Mel B, which mistakenly included a note to her publicist.

The Ginger Spice account shared a series of throwback photos with Scary Spice on Wednesday, accompanied by an embarrassing caption that began with a private message to Halliwell’s rep, Pippa Beng.

“I sent images to Pippa and this wording asked her to edit them if necessary,” the message read.

The real caption followed: “Happy birthday @officialmelb! I hope you have a great day!”

While the caption was eventually edited to remove the memo for Beng, fans immediately flooded the comments section to roast the pop star, 51, for the mistake.

“What a beautiful, heartfelt, heartfelt message from you,” one person wrote.

“It takes 3 people to post a celebrity’s birthday message to their friend. What world do I live in?!’” asked one confused follower.

“Confirmation celebs don’t even post legit birthday messages,” another admitted.

Beng was also trolled in the comments section.

“Surely you could have written this yourself, Geri, and made it more personal, especially after everything you and Melanie have been through?” » asked one fan.

“Baby, you need to take care of your social media manager,” another suggested.

Others roasted Beng for the mortifying accident on his client’s page.

“A job Pippa. A job,” one person joked in the comments section.

“Sending lots of love to Pippa on this day, she could use a glass of wine or two,” commented a second.

“Pippa has finally “tweaked” the text! This reads a lot more sincerely now,” a third fan wrote.

“Pippa, I would edit it to add a little more sincerity,” added one user.

“Friendship never ends…unless Pippa gets involved,” another fan joked, referencing the lyrics of the girl group’s 2007 song “Headlines (Friendship Never Ends).”

“Plot twist: Pippa did this on purpose to boost engagement,” one follower joked.

“The caption has been changed…. But we all saw it,” someone else said.

“#prayforpippa,” another social media user wrote.

Page Six has contacted Beng for comment.

Photos posted to Halliwell’s account show her with Mel, whose full name is Melanie Brown, on their tours in the ’90s, as well as a more recent snap at the 2019 British Grand Prix.

Halliwell, Brown, 49, Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) and Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) formed the Spice Girls in 1994.

While the group broke up in 2000, the “Spice Up Your Life” singers reunited for a tour in 2007 and 2008 as well as a performance at the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.

They also toured together in 2019, although Beckham, 50, did not join them.

Most recently, the quartet performed an impromptu performance of their 1998 song “Stop” at the fashion designer’s private 50th birthday party in April.
