Hawai’i canceled after 3 seasons

Very very sad news for NCIS: Hawaii Ohana: The CBS island drama will not return for season 4, TVLine has learned.

News of the cancellation comes two weeks later NCIS scored a pickup for season 22 and more than a month later NCIS: Sydney – the first international offshoot of the much-watched franchise – marked a season 2.

Since the start of the season, NCIS: Hawaii averaged 7.8 million total viewers and a 0.5 demo rating (with Live+7 viewership data), up 4% in viewers from Season 2, but down up a notch in the demo. Of the 14 drama series broadcast by CBS this television season, it ranks 6th in total viewership (behind Tracker, NCIS, FBI, Blue blood And The equalizer) and eighth in the demo.

Other CBS series that garnered attention this spring include The Experts: Las Vegas And So help me Todd.

In addition to NCIS And NCIS: SydneyCBS previously renewed FBI (for seasons 7, 8 And 9), FBI: International (Season 4), FBI: Most Wanted (Season 6), Land of Fire (Season 3), Ghosts (Season 4), The neighborhood (Season 7), The equalizer (Season 5), Elsbeth (Season 2) and Tracker (Season 2). It was also “canceled” CRUSHannouncing that the crime drama would return for an eighth season.

Young Sheldon And Bob Hearts Abishola are currently running their farewell races, while Blue blood broadcasts the first half of a final season which will end in the fall.

CBS has a new NCIS spin-off, the prequel to “Young Gibbs” NCIS: Originsclaiming a spot on its 2024-25 schedule, while a Tony/Ziva-centric offshoot is headed to Paramount+.

NCIS: Hawaii will close its strike-shortened third (and final) season with a two-part finale broadcast on Monday April 29 and Monday May 6. “There’s a lot of action,” Yasmine Al-Bustami, who plays Special Agent Lucy Tara, previously told TVLine. Oh, and: “There is death.” »
