Beloved Cornish music festival PandaFest is canceled

Organizers of a beloved Cornish music festival have announced they will cancel this year’s event due to “skyrocketing costs”. PandaFest, held in Lanivet near Bodmin, has confirmed that despite strong ticket sales it has faced financial difficulties preventing the festival from going ahead as planned this year.

This is the second year in a row that the event has been canceled, with organizers blaming the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, the cost of living crisis and the soaring costs of organizing such an event. Everyone who purchased tickets has been reassured that they will receive a refund within the next 30 days.




In a message shared on social media, the organizers said: “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of PandaFest 2024. We have worked tirelessly to meet the challenges of a global pandemic, a cost of living crisis and, most importantly, soaring costs, which made it impossible to continue the festival this year. Unfortunately, despite strong initial ticket sales, the momentum did not continue.
