VIDEO: Disgusting Hungarian restaurant closed, authorities shocked

Authorities have closed a Hungarian restaurant in Debrecen, the country’s second-largest city, following a gruesome inspection. Watch the video shared by authorities revealing the shameful conditions at this facility in eastern Hungary.

According to Magyar Nemzet, the Hungarian National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) carried out an inspection which led to the immediate closure of the restaurant. Inspectors found evidence of rodent and insect infestations in the restaurant’s food storage areas.

Additionally, many of the kitchen utensils used to prepare meals were dirty. Additionally, the restaurant owner stocked rendered meat products as well as cleaned and chopped vegetables. There were not enough dishwashers, resulting in dirty dishes being recirculated to the kitchen and then to guests without being properly cleaned.

Faulty lighting, invalid documents, damaged walls in Hungarian restaurant

The situation was made worse by the lack of sufficient hand-washing sinks, hand sanitizers and dish soap. According to Nébih, the restaurant was dirty and chaotic.

In the basement storage area, faulty lighting made daily operations difficult. Additionally, the walls, roof and floor of the restaurant were in a state of total disrepair.

The restaurant’s documents were not in order and the cook did not have valid medical documents during the inspection. The authorities therefore suspended the restaurant’s activities. Here is the video showing their shocking findings:
