GERI Halliwell was mocked by fans for her awkward birthday message to former bandmate Mel B.

The Spice Girls singer, 51, took to Instagram on Wednesday morning to wish Mel a happy 49th birthday.

But many cringed after spotting a very embarrassing mistake in Geri’s caption.

Geri posted a throwback photo of the couple smiling from the height of their careers in the 90s.

But she appeared to make a slight oversight when she accidentally posted a message to her publicist Pippa Beng.

The caption read: “I sent images to Pippa and this wording asked her to edit them if necessary.”

With the caption intended by Geri: “Happy birthday Mel B. Hope you have an amazing day.”

It didn’t take long for eagle-eyed fans to realize the mistake and mock the star.

One wrote: “Sending lots of love to Pippa on this day, she could use a wine a drink or two. »
