Petaluma City Council will consider allowing a few cannabis stores

Petaluma may soon allow a few cannabis dispensaries to set up shop within city limits. Earlier this month, the Petaluma Planning Commission voted to allow up to three cannabis storefronts inside Petaluma’s city limits. The municipal council is expected to decide on the issue at its June 17 meeting. Currently, two delivery-only cannabis dispensaries are licensed to operate in the city, along with manufacturing and testing operations. Although the city does not allow large-scale cultivation, Petalumens are allowed to grow up to six marijuana plants for personal use.
