Hoax message written on post-it note in airport toilet puts security staff on alert

A hoax message written on a post-it note left in a toilet at Kempegowda International Airport put security staff on alert on Wednesday.

The one-line message reading “bomb in A3 and T1, will explode in 25 minutes”, was found by one of the passengers who alerted staff. Security agents carried out multiple security checks before concluding that it was a hoax.

Based on the complaint, the airport police are planning to register an unidentifiable report and seek further direction from the court for further investigation. Security officers have stepped up checks and are checking CCTV footage to identify the person involved.
