Watauga genealogists will meet June 4 at the JC Library

The June meeting of the Watauga Association of Genealogists (WAGS) will feature a presentation on “Exploring FamilySearch” by Peggy Rosalie Britt Henderson. The meeting will be held in the Jones Room at the Johnson City Public Library at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4.

Ms. Henderson currently serves as a temple and family history consultant at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Johnson City, where she teaches others how to research and enter genealogical information for their families into programs family tree and ancestry. She helps individuals create their Family Tree accounts in FamilySearch and establish their individual family trees. Ms. Henderson says that “the overall goal of Family Tree is to help individuals discover their family and, in turn, discover a little more about themselves.

The public is invited to attend all WAGS meetings held at the Johnson City Public Library, 100 W. Millard St., Johnson City, on the first Tuesday of the month.
