A convicted sexual predator known as the “Bad Breath Rapist” has been apprehended more than 16 years after fleeing while his trial was underway in Massachusetts.

Tuen Lee was arrested Tuesday in Northern California, according to Massachusetts State Police.

Lee broke into a co-worker’s house and raped her on February 2, 2005, police added.

Tuen Lee was on the run for 16 years.

He was “ultimately identified by his DNA and his horrible breath, earning him the nickname ‘bad breath rapist,'” the statement said.

He was convicted of rape and kidnapping in 2007, but he had already fled the state by the time the jury reached its verdict.

Authorities searched for the attacker for years — and Lee was even featured in an episode of “America’s Most Wanted.”

Earlier this year, investigators got a break in the case when they investigated a multimillion-dollar home owned by a trader in Diablo, California, the official release said.

Officers watched Lee and a woman leave the home Tuesday and arrested them during a traffic stop.

Lee initially gave a false name, but later admitted his real identity, which was confirmed by his fingerprints.

“His partner, after 15 years of living together in California, never knew who he really was,” state police said.

Lee is now being transported to the Danville Police Department for booking. His transfer to Massachusetts is pending.
