Zelda-inspired ‘Castaway’ confirmed for console release

Canari Games, which recently brought cinematic platformer Lunark to Switch, has just revealed that its next game, Castway, will be coming to consoles. While a Switch version has yet to be specifically announced, it seems incredibly likely that Switch will be included in the “console” category, especially given the style of play and source of its inspiration. That said, when the game is officially confirmed for Switch, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Embark on an action-packed adventure in Castaway, immersing players in a pixelated and retro universe. Play as Martin, whose spaceship has crashed on an uncharted island where his faithful pet has been taken by hostile creatures. Collect your weapons and venture out to rescue your kidnapped companion in this endearing and surprisingly dynamic world. STORY MODE / SURVIVOR MODE!

Defeat all 3 bosses in the concise and delightful “Story Mode” to unlock the thrilling and addictive “Survivor Mode”. Climb a 50-story tower, with each level presenting increasingly difficult challenges!
