Clemens Center Announces 2024-2025 Broadway Series

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) — The Clemens Center has announced the shows it will host during its 2024-2025 Broadway Series.

Theater fans will be able to see “Ain’t Too Proud – The Life and Times of The Temptations,” “Six,” “The Addams Family,” “Clue” and “Dear Evan Hansen” over the next year.

“Ain’t Too Proud” is the first show in the series and will air September 19-20. This musical follows the five original members of the Temptations as they rise to fame. Some of the group’s hits like “My Girl,” “Just My Imagination,” “Get Ready” and “Papa Was a Rolling Stone” will be featured on the show.

“Six” will then take the stage on November 8 and 9. “Six” is a modern account of the lives of Henry VIII’s six wives. This musical is the perfect show for fans of pop concerts and history, or “its history” as the musical calls it.

The musical “The Addams Family” will be broadcast on January 21 and 22. The series follows the creepy and wacky family we all know with a new story. In this show, Wednesday grew up and fell in love with a normal man.

Another show based on a familiar name is next. “Clue” will be at the Clemens Center March 18-19. This comedic murder mystery is based on the classic board game and 1985 film of the same name. “Clue” promises to keep audiences in suspense until the final twist.

The final show in the 2024-2025 Broadway series is “Dear Evan Hansen.” On April 21 and 22, the public will be able to follow the story of a high school student suffering from social anxiety as the letters he writes himself plunge him into tragedy.

Tickets for each show will be available closer to the show dates and prices are based on seat location. People who want to see all five shows can purchase a subscription to the Broadway series. More information about ticketing and each show is available on the Clemens Center website.
