Suspected St. J fugitive reportedly arrested

An alleged St. Johnsbury fugitive is scheduled to appear in court Monday afternoon after being arrested Friday evening.

According to an email sent Saturday morning from the St. Johnsbury Police Department, officers were notified shortly after 8:30 p.m. that a woman was lying in the roadway on River Road covered with a blanket. Police responding to that call determined the person was 34-year-old Colleen Rodriguez.

Investigators say Rodriguez had two active arrest warrants. One of them is believed to be with the Vermont Department of Corrections for a furlough violation. The other warrant is believed to be for a felony charge in Grafton County, New Hampshire. Police did not mention what charge(s) might be on the Granite State arrest warrant.

Rodriguez is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County Court Monday at 12:30 p.m.
