The sports world furious over the “unfair” situation of the NWSL

The sports world is angry over an unfair situation that has emerged for one of the clubs in the National Women’s Soccer League. The Chicago Red Stars in the middle of a tough situation through no fault of their own.

According to The Athletic, Riot Fest, an annual music festival, will take place this year at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois. Typically, the event takes place at Douglass Park in Chicago. But this year the plans changed, as the organizers moved it to the home of the Red Stars.

Red Stars president Karen Leetzow didn’t hold back in an official statement released by the team.

After the club made the statement, many took the opportunity to express their frustrations with the situation. Few people were really happy. Especially since the Red Stars recently set an attendance record at Wrigley Field, the famous home of the MLB’s Chicago Cubs.

Many are hoping that one of Chicago’s major professional sports teams will step up to host the Red Stars game on September 21. It might take moving and moving around, but someone stepping up would be a joy to see.
