Noah Cyrus breaks his silence after being criticized for liking Liam Hemsworth’s post

Noah Cyrus has responded to backlash after liking a gym selfie posted by his sister Miley’s ex-husband Liam Hemsworth on Instagram.

The 24-year-old singer took to her Instagram Story on Monday to make light of the online furore, writing that it was “funny.”

According to JustJared, the Lonely hitmaker wrote in a now-deleted Instagram Story: “There’s no greater joy than seeing y’all get angry over the stupidest shit, it’s so entertaining and funny. “

Cyrus liked his former brother-in-law’s workout selfie, which he captioned, “#Legday.”

Noah has since hated the post. Hemsworth follows Noah on Instagram, alongside Tish and her ex-husband Billy Ray Cyrus, but not his ex-wife Miley.

Cyrus began dating Hemsworth while filming The Last Song in 2010. This marked the start of a decade-long relationship that saw the couple together, then separated, before finally tying the knot in 2018.

However, their union was short-lived as they announced their separation the following year, finalizing their divorce in 2020.

Since then, Miley has moved on and has been romantically involved with Lilly drummer Maxx Morando since 2021.

Noah’s social media interaction sparked further speculation about the Cyrus family dynamic, months after Tish married actor Dominic Purcell.

Cyrus, 56, and Purcell, 54, confirmed their relationship in November 2022, shortly after she filed for divorce from Billy Ray after 28 years of marriage.

Last August, the couple tied the knot in a low-key backyard wedding, although Noah and Tish’s son Braison were notably absent.

While fans have speculated that Miley and Billy Ray are currently feuding after she failed to mention him during her recent Grammy win.

As the 31-year-old received the Record of the Year award for her hit Flowers, she thanked her team, as well as “my mom, my sister, my love”, pointing to them in the crowd.

She finished with: “I don’t think I forgot anyone…but I might have forgotten the underwear. Goodbye!”
