County Drainage Board and commissioners meet Monday morning

The Marshall County Drainage Board and County Commissioners will meet this morning in the second floor meeting room of the County Building. The meetings take place at 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and are also streamed live on the county’s YouTube site.

The Drainage Board will hear Graver Commercial Properties’ request to reroute the Henry Kelver Tile and Merl Hayn will discuss maintenance of the J. Ballinger Ditch.

Other items on the Drainage Board agenda include approval of the May 20 meeting.^th minutes, other matters and public comments.

County commissioners have a long agenda, including a report from county Highway Superintendent Jason Peters and Shannon McLeod of Priority Projects for opening bids for owner-occupied housing rehabilitation projects for houses no. 5, 7, 8 and 9.

Annette Haining of Breath Easy Marshall County will present her quarterly update and Marcella Kunstek of the Foundation for Fair Contracting will discuss the Indiana Responsibility Bidder Ordinance. County Health Department Administrator Sandy Dunfee will seek approval of the washer and dryer sets while Ty Adley will conduct a public hearing at the request of Kenneth and Michelle Bachtel.

County commissioners will also hear from the county attorney and county auditor, open the meeting to public comment and discuss an appointment to the Hazardous Buildings Board.
