Jim Ross says he’ll be shocked if WWE lets Becky Lynch go

The Man Becky Lynch entered free agency in early June after her contract with WWE expired. She last competed for WWE on the May 27 episode of RAW, where she lost to Liv Morgan in her quest to win back the WWE Women’s World Champion.

With Lynch’s future uncertain, some fans have speculated that he might join AEW. Veteran commentator Jim Ross, a key figure in Becky Lynch’s WWE debut and speaking on the recent episode of his podcast Grilling JR, expressed his admiration for her, highlighting their long-standing bond. He mentioned that Becky Lynch occasionally contacted him to check on him, reflecting their mutual respect.

Although he was unsure of Becky’s contract status, he believed that signing her would greatly benefit AEW. He highlighted her status as a senior level player and praised her character and professionalism.

Despite the uncertainties, he expressed confidence that WWE would do everything possible to retain Lynch, given the substantial investment in his career and significant impact on the industry. According to him, The Man’s departure from WWE would be surprising, as he is a high-caliber talent who has broken many barriers. Whatever her decision, he remains a steadfast supporter, admiring her professionally and personally.

“I was involved in Becky Lynch’s WWE debut back in the day, so consequently and obviously I’m a big fan of hers. She is one of the people who contacts me from time to time and sees how I feel, things if it is of that nature. I have great respect for her and her husband (Seth Rollins), he’s also one hell of an arm. So I don’t know anything about his contractual status. Obviously, I think we could all agree that if AEW was able to sign talent of his level, it would help. She’s a player, she’s a main-event level player. I think the world of her as a human being. You know my theory about hiring good human beings, it fits that mold perfectly. She is awesome. But I don’t know how determined she is to become a mother. Not that she’s a good or bad mother, she’s obviously an excellent mother. But what if she wants to have more children? It could happen. So anyway, I don’t know what she’s going to do. I would be very shocked if WWE let it go. This doesn’t seem right to me. They invested a lot of money in it. They healed her. She’s famous, she’s a main-level talent, she’s broken a lot of molds. So I’m a big supporter of Becky Lynch, and whatever she does, I support her. I think she’s just an amazing human being and a great mom. Seth Rollins is lucky. He exceeded his media coverage, as they say.

With Becky Lynch’s future uncertain at the moment, although sending a cryptic message in her absence, we will have to wait and see what happens next when it comes to The Man’s wrestling career.
