Currently, Google Messages only supports Gemini in English in 164 countries where it is available. The only exception is Canada, where it also supports French. But for now, your phone needs to be set to English – or French, if you’re in Canada – if you want to be able to let Gemini compose messages, schedule events, or even just chat with you to get through the phone. time.

Note that you must also be 18 years or older and using Google Messages with an account you manage yourself to access the feature. You will also need to make sure your RCS chats are enabled. To access Gemini, simply open the Messages app and start a new conversation to see the option to speak with the chatbot.
