Man shot while in car at Aurora truck stop seriously injured, police say

DAWN | An unidentified man shot Monday night while inside his car at a truck stop in north Aurora was shot and seriously injured, police said.

Police were called to the Flying J truck stop at 16751 E. 32nd Ave. around 8:30 p.m. after reporting a shooting at that location.

“Preliminary investigation shows an adult male was shot while inside a vehicle,” police spokesperson Sydney Edwards said in a statement. “He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.”

Police said another man and woman were also inside the car at the time of the shooting and were uninjured.

Edwards said it was not immediately known if the suspect and victim knew each other.

No information on a shooting suspect has been released.
