Officers conducted a secure check of the condemned home at 1607 Center Street around 8 a.m. June 13, according to a Leesburg Police Department arrest report. The property was condemned by LPD Code Enforcement on June 10.

While checking the area, contact was made with Roy Eugene Wilson, 31, who was sleeping at the rear of the property. The communications center indicated that he had already left the scene on June 10, according to the report.

The Ohio native was later arrested for trespassing after warning. He was transported to the Lake County Jail with bail set at $1,000.

Wilson has already been arrested at least twice, including in December 2022 for stolen eggnog and in August 2023 for trespassing in the woods of which he had been warned.
