Paving worker shocked by lightning in Liberty, Ohio

LIBERTY TWP., Ohio (WKBN) – A paving worker was taken to the hospital after being shocked by lightning in Liberty.

Township Fire Chief Douglas Theobald said the man was working in the area of ​​Logangate Road, near the fire station, when the storm arrived Tuesday.


The man took refuge under a tree.

Theobald said the tree was struck by lightning and the man was knocked to the ground.

He was taken to hospital and kept overnight for observation.
