Israel Adesanya thinks Michael Chandler should ‘fight another fight’ after UFC 303 cancellation

Israel Adesanya thinks Michael Chandler should “fight another fight” after UFC 303 was canceled.

UFC 303 takes place on Saturday, June 29 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It was supposed to be Conor McGregor (22-6 MMA) vs. Michael Chandler (23-8 MMA) in the lightweight main event.

That all changed when UFC CEO Dana White announced that “Notorious” had to pull out of the fight due to injury.

In a video published on ‘XLast Thursday, White said:

“Alright guys, here I am again… McGregor is on 303 against Michael Chandler due to injury.

During a recent video posted on his YouTube channel ‘FREESTYLEBENDER’, Israel Adesanya reacted to the news and advised ‘Iron’ to take another fight in the meantime (h/t MMANews):

“I think this fight will happen anyway (McGregor vs. Chandler). Chandler should just fight (in the meantime), and it’s even better for him, win or lose, because he’ll always get more reps. Fight anyway. That Conor fight will always be there because they both faced each other on TUF, beef. …But just take one more fight, I think.

Chandler, 38, has not fought since November 2022, when he was defeated by Dustin Poirier (30-9 MMA) at UFC 281.

As for Israel Adesanya (24-3 MMA), he is gearing up for a main event middleweight title fight with current champion Dricus Du Plessis (21-2 MMA) next August at UFC 305 in Perth, Australia.

Do you agree with “The Last Stylebender” that Chandler should return to the Octagon and not wait for the Irishman?
