Free summer meals for students offered by Alexandria Public Schools

Kids can enjoy free breakfast and lunch at select Alexandria school sites for part of the summer.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — As school ends for the summer, children facing food insecurity may have a harder time accessing food to fill their bellies. To help feed children this summer, Alexandria City Public Schools will offer a free summer lunch program.

Free breakfasts and lunches will be offered to children under 18 at six locations. The program runs Monday to Thursday from June 24 to July 18. There will be no meal service on July 4th. Meals must generally be taken on site.
